Personally I think it worthwhile to see what is going on with the Eastern Orthodox. They paint the Easter eggs and never eat them. Christmas is a week late or so. They apparently have ten extra books of scripture. Who knows what else is going on? It is like Rome deleted the East from our history, because one is either considered Protestant or Catholic. Also, I like the idea of never cutting any of my beard or hair....

It is hard for an ethnocentric Westerner to imagine that we have departed from anything true and/or lack anything!! Perhaps our Orthodox friend could shed some light on the subject. Don't be saying I have departed from the historic teaching of Christianity without telling me what I have departed from!!!!!!!! An Eastern Orthodox has the same Christian validity as a Catholic or any other Christian so I'm willing to listen.

I am Catholic. I don't know Luther or Roman!! :)

But I am curious as to how you might mean these churches are departures.

Be a good Christian and rebuke the evil heresy from we who go to these churches.
In what way have we departed from the One True Church Catholic?

Cheers.

Well, i have a comment...
Historically, Lutheran Church is a "departure from the historic teaching of Christianity". Roman Catholic Church is a departure, and Lutheran Church is a departure from the departure.
Yours, a member of the Eastern Orthodox Church.
