Allah Had no Son

A large part of my conversion are these comics. Go check it out, read it, let us know your thoughts. Here is one frame from the link above, a sample of the Christian cartoon series.

  • Chick is barking. Other than Dbiddy, who is amused by the offensive, I can't see who would like his work or give his message the time of day. I guess the fundamental would like it too . . . Go KJV!!!

  • It would be offensive if it were untrue... can anyone confirm or deny what Chick's alleges? The message seems legit. Give credit where credit is due. At least he's got the balls to speak up while our once courageous news media are too gutless to print a cartoon.

  • I would not say offensive, but certainly over simplified. The author of this cartoon just did to the religion of Islam what The Da Vinci Code does to Christianity. Which is to take accurate historical information and make huge leaps of logic to come to his own conclusions. I do agree that the truth found in the Bible is a light that extinguishes the darkness found in other alleged scriptures from the book of Mormon, the Koran, to Nostradamus. However to portray that devout or fanatical Muslims can be won over by over simplified information and a few Bible versus rattled off, only displays the extent to which the average Evangelical Christian has been indoctrinated. To the point where we see the first step in developing a relationship is to attempt to make our target think as we do in order to relate to him, as opposed to seeking to understand him where he is at and make ourselves vulnerable in developing a trust relationship. Gutless media or not at least they attempt to understand before drawing conclusions based on their prejudice.

  • Haha, yea, there are problem with the cartoon. A) That Christian would have had a bullet in the back of his head by frame 3. As if Muslims will stand and reason with anybody if they damn Islam like that character did. Remember what happened with the Danish cartoons? As if this would of off any better. B) Allah is a generic word for God. Christians in the middle easy will use Allah to refer to God cause it means god. C) The Pope was right when he said islam never brought anything new to the religions of the world, but borrowed from everybody before.... Of course that's no way to start a discussion with a Muslim... see point A)......

Having said all this, the discussions I've actually had with Muslims about faith weren't at a mosque and I'm still alive to talk about it so....

  • There are all kinds of problems with the cartoon. Chick can't get his facts straight, and misquotes both the Qu'ran and Bible extensively. I recently posted on it here.
