Benny Hinn in Action

Video of Benny Hinn in action. It's guys like this that represent Christ to the world. Are we prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have in the context of Benny?

He came to Vancouver August 2005 and we went to see him. Benny did not call anyone to repentance, action, evangelism, prayer or Holy action of any sort. The only actions he calls us to is getting healed and giving money to Benny Hinn. That fatal flaw brings me to a burning Holy discontent where his gospel isn’t about repentance, glorifying God or humbling ourselves before God, its about humanism and padding Benny’s wallet.

So what, is what he's doing from God or not? I do not know how to explain the falling down cause if they were all faking it, at least one person would squeal, yet it doesn't happen. I did not fall down so I cannot testify about my experience.

Crazy stuff,
matt

Slaying in the Spirits, sweet sweet heresy.

Uncle B has gone on record saying he wishes he could murder prominent evangelists with a 'holy ghost' shotgun (or was it bazooka).

IN essence, for the low price of 19.99, I TOO will punch you in the face while you do funny acrobatics with your tummy.

Btw, if you get scammed by the rich mobster Benny it's your own fault. 5 second search on Google will reveal he's a fraud.

God recently gave me a verse in Phillipians (1:15-18) to contemplate:
"15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.[c] 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice."
Do these verses apply to this situation?

Someone described Benny Hinn as "God's scoundrel", implying that he was still God's but also a bit mischievous or off color. He gets the job done, yet has some issues. Did anyone come to Christ through his crusades? There was a call to something and i remember droves of people coming up. But at the same time, he made a lot of money and continues to do it. Where it goes, only God knows. And Benny. I do hope his ministry is legit, and he is trying to do something that will further the kingdom of God, but the thing we went to didn't have anything other than a call to give him money and for us to take the healing that comes from God so we can live up to the Bible's promise that we will live to 70 or 80 years.

His text was Psalm 90:10 - The length of our days is seventy years— or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

Purpose of our lives? Didn't mention that we should be healed to do ministry or live for christ or nothin. Just so we can be healed...

My question is, what image does he portray for the non-believer? I do wonder if the video posted brings people in, gives air of a fraud, or misrepresents Christ and Christianity.

You're right about the fact even God can use Benny (I use the term USE perjoratively here.) The fact of the matter is he stands for heretical doctrine. We should create a heresy hall of fame!
