Pomotheo rarely makes absolute statements but this one we're OK stating. Correct me if I'm wrong, but 10 years ago Mormon refused to be associated/called Christians. Now they realise they can get more money in the bank if they push their religion as a 'Christian alternative'.

Personally I don't think it was a fair debate since Dr. Mohler is a PhD and Orson is merely an fictional writer. Nonetheless, Orson never answered the main question about the debate, basically "is Mormonism an accurate reflection of orthodox Christianity".

Just wondering what the pope means when he says "The other communities "cannot be called ‘churches’ in the proper sense" because they do not have apostolic succession — the ability to trace their bishops back to Christ’s original apostles."

I'm just wondering if the Pope thinks that those churches that Paul planted were actually churches then (according to his definition). and what is this 'proper sense' he speaks of? ftw? i guess this pope wants to leave a mark... let's undo everything that the last guy did so the next guy has something to do.
