Alberta Creation Museum Opens Doors

Big Valley Creation Museum Opens in Canada

Since when does Alberta become Bible belt Canada? I suppose Prairie Bible College will be happy with the new creation museum set to open in Big Valley. This particular museum in Canada has been met with far less public outcry and demonstration compared to their American counterparts.

My comment. I'm all for people believing their interpretations of the Bible. However, the instant you push it onto other Christians (forget about other people), and say Genesis MUST be literal seven days, then we have a problem. How come all (the VAST majority) of reputable Christians biologists and geneticists do NOT acknowledge literal seven day creation? Are they WRONG and far-right evangelicals (primarily in North America) RIGHT?

The issue with creation museums is not what they communicate, people are free to do this, but it's about the intolerance they create with the community around them. They teach kids how to instantly be intolerant with the world by saying they MUST believe in 6-day creation.

It's very very funny, perplexing, and sad to note that the very same people (conservative evangelicals) who push so HARD for, "follow the evidence," REFUSE to follow the evidence for evolution.

Friends, Christian or non-Christians, these museums are certainly communicating something of importance, evolution can't explain everything. But seriously, saying God created in six days is a slap in his face. As Dbiddy notes, "six days is God taking his sweet time".

Quite frankly I will prescribe to what a proper and careful reading of the Hebrew text of Genesis 1-3 says, THE EARTH HAS A CREATOR. That is the best explanation for all that is around us in its immense complexity. How it all came to be, well that's up for debate, but literal six days? You're losing support slowly and surely, just don't force little kids to believe things that will make them the most intolerant and incoherent Bible-thumper on the playground.

He'd go insane and tear the place apart. I heard it's not THAT in your face as some in the US are.
