		<description>As I understand it, atheism is a position on the existence of God, while New Atheism is a social movement to promote secularism, promote tolerance for atheists (especially in America), to verbally attack fundamentalism, to denounce hereditary religion, and to corrode the double standard that says ideas don't need to be justified so long as they are religious. 

I'm not much of a fan of the term "atheist" (or of "New Atheist"), but both are already stuck in my head.</description>
