On page 60 he explains that &quot;the law hasn&#039;t disappeared just because we have the new. It&#039;s still at work today as a tool to convict the unbelieving world&quot; 

1 Timothy 1:8-9 shows that the law is not for the righteous. The law is not dead but still here to convict nonbelievers.

 The law came with the old covenant but now for those who put their trust in Christ for salvation are now under the new covenant which means we are no longer under the law</description>

		<description>I agree about the point about guilt : such a useless emotion. It doesn&#039;t motivate, mostly condemns and paralyses the person feeling it... the other points do seem weaker.</description>
