About PomoTheo
The PomoTheo web site was the idea of a former student at Ambrose Seminary (was Canadian Theological Seminary at the time). In 2006 a group of students combined to express Canadian perspectives in the post-modern world, hence the use of 'Pomo' in the name.
PomoTheo started out as a mishmash of ideas and thoughts, no real central purpose or focus on post modernity or theology. Topics ranged from creation/evolution to theology to politics. In 2009 this changed when the focus was shifted to encompass a intentional post-modern theme focused on the aspects of missio Dei.
Since the beginning of 2009 a collection of voices have contributed to an intentionally Canadian perspective on the emergence of missional ecclesiology. Sometimes our posts are cynical, sometimes pragmatic, other times inflammatory, but most of the time we try to maintain a level of love and response for the blogs we engage.
Our contributors stretch across the country and denominational boundaries. We currently uphold the perspectives found in the Lausanne Covenant, for those interested in understanding our foundation.
Please add us to your readers, comment often, and offer your ideas on how we can be the catalyst to bring the mission of God to Canada in a language our networks can understand.
