The first thing ignorant Westerners will think is, "there are Christians in Lebanon?" Yes, and also in their parliament. Unfortunately the entire Lebanese government is being threatened by the terrorist organization Hezbollah. Nobody has claimed responsibility yet for the assassination of a Christian cabinet minister.

I don't mean to continually dog the homosexual lifestyle . . . but this has been getting at my goat for quite a while now and I feel that I need to vent. How can we have a discussion about accepting one another and being part of the same community when we develop exclusive or reclusive events like the Outgames?? Are the Olympics or Commonwealth Games just for straights?? Do we get to develop our own Ingames?? Of course not, because that would be unconstitutional or too exclusive for other groups to accept. Why the double standard? And why the expectation to become accepted and part of the culture when groups keep distancing themselves and remaining exclusive?? Of course, this discussion is much greater than just the Outgames. It goes right through the rights and expectations of other minority groups. But, I see other groups trying to embrace and become part of culture, rather than becoming countercultural or creating a new culture and then condemning those who don't accept it . . . Thats my rant. Leave it at that.

Is it just me or did Klein systematically make Stronach smarter and stupider all in one fell swoop? Outoing Alberta Premier Ralph Klein won't apologize for a joke he made at at a charity roast in Calgary on Tuesday November 7th.
Here are his remarks, "I wasn't surprised she crossed over. I don't think she ever had a Conservative bone in her body -- well, except for one," said Klein.
You don't believe me? Check out the Youtube capture. In case anyone in the audience missed the punch line, he continued: "Speaking of Peter MacKay..."
When Prime Minister Stephen Harper was asked on Thursday if he thought the joke was funny, he simply held up his hand and rolled his eyes.
So how does this burn Stronach (again) and yet make her look smart at the same time? Well she's right when she said chauvinistic humour may discourage women from entering politics. But seriously, I don't think we'll find a funnier political jab like we've just experienced. Sorry Belinda, you're just not cut out for politics regardless of gender. You see, although as a politician the level is smaller, there's still this expectation of something called 'trust'....
